So, I got word today that I've been named as a finalist in the "Fwd: a Ford" competition to win a new Ford Focus or Fiesta. The exciting part is that the finals are like no other contest i've ever entered. I'm being given a Focus to drive for 2 weeks!! Picking it up on Wednesday evening. Can't wait!
My poor old Laser, Dulcie's duco almost turned green with envy when I entered this comp. She's pretty unhappy about the idea of me driving another Ford around- especially a younger model. I consider the Focus to be the "new" Laser- about the same size, that big-small car that you can fit the family in if you need to. So it'll be an interesting comparison. That said, it'll be like apples and oranges in some ways- 1.6l, 20 year old carby engine vs the brand new 2.0l Turbo Diesel... I'll try not to get into any trouble :)
I've decided to call the car Butch while I have it. Not because it's a particularly butch-looking car (I wouldn't have picked it if I wasn't gonna look like a princess behind the wheel! ;) but because, well, it sounds like it's gonna have balls! The kind of car your boyfriend wouldn't mind driving... if you'd let him!
