I can't say that driving through Sydney city is something I do often, but I'll say one thing for stand-still traffic. It lets you show off a sweet new ride, button mash until you work out the thumping sound system (who needs a manual?!) AND would you believe it, there's some pretty nice scenery to enjoy around the city too! You couldn't enjoy this view from anywhere but the middle of the road and you wouldn't see it unless you were stopped and daydreaming... I've never been so glad to be driving (slower than I could have walked) in peak hour. Butch has made a great first impression!
The Focus feels decidedly luxurious compared with Dulcie the Laser (don't tell her I said that!) and the drive, slow as it's been so far, is pretty nice. I've got confidence knowing I can put my foot down and he'll go like a rocket, but I still keep my princess street-cred with all the mod-cons and good looks.
Today's been a massive day, a bit of an adventure in itself. As well as picking up Butch, got signed off on a promotion at work which means i've been up since 5am. Apologies if I don't sound as excited as I should. I assure you, the body is fighting sleep but the brain is working a million miles an hour and that little "I've got a new toy" grin keeps creeping onto my face with every new adventurous idea.
